Qatar Airways’ newest widebody aircraft
The newest aircraft in the Qatar Airways fleet is A7-BHQ, a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner built in December 2023. At the time of writing, this aircraft has just been delivered to the airline, operating a flight from Charleston (CHA) to Doha (DOH) on December 23, 2023. The newest aircraft that has a number of passenger flights under its belt is A7-AOC, an Airbus A350-1000 built in April 2022. This aircraft most frequently flies from its base in Doha to destinations including Denpasar (DPS), Cairo (CAI) and Seoul (ICN). It is also worth highlighting Qatar’s newest freighter, which is A7-BTA – a Boeing 777F built in December 2023.
Qatar Airways’ newest narrowbody aircraft
Whilst the bulk of the Qatar narrowbody fleet is made up of 29 Airbus A320 aircraft (which are anywhere between 8-14 years old), the newest narrowbody in the fleet is A7-BSE, the newest of 9 Boeing MAX 8 aircraft to have joined the airline. Since joining the fleet in April 2022, this aircraft has been operating up to 3 flights per-day from Doha to destinations including Abu Dhabi (AUH), Tbilisi (TBS), Muscat (MCT), and Bahrain (BAH).
Qatar Airways’ oldest widebody aircraft
The oldest widebody aircraft in service at Qatar Airways is A7-AED, an 18 year-old Airbus A330-300 built in July 2005. Currently wearing the 2023 ‘Doha Expo’ livery, this aircraft often operates between 3 and 4 flights per day, which is uncommon for many widebody jets. The aircraft is often deployed on flights to Kathmandu (KTM), Jeddah (JED) and Cochin (COK).
Qatar Airways’ oldest narrowbody aircraft
The oldest operational narrowbody jet in the Qatar Airways fleet is A7-AHA. This Airbus A320-200 was built in November 2009, and operates up to three times daily, and frequently visits Peshawar (PEW), Goa (GOI), Belgrade (BEG) and Almaty (ALA).
