How to Spend Four Days in Singapore: A 2026 Travel Itinerary

Singapore is one of the easiest cities in Asia to explore. In just four days, you can experience futuristic architecture, colourful neighbourhoods, local food, green spaces, and the famous attractions on Sentosa Island.

If you are planning a short trip in 2026, this itinerary will help you make the most of your time.

Getting from Changi Airport to the City

After landing at Changi Airport, take some time to visit the Jewel complex and see the famous Rain Vortex waterfall. It is one of the most photographed spots in Singapore and only a short walk from the airport terminals.

To reach the city, the MRT is the easiest and most affordable option. Trains connect Changi Airport with central Singapore in around 30–40 minutes.

Day 1: Marina Bay and Singapore’s Modern Architecture

Begin your trip in the Marina Bay area, where you will find Singapore’s most iconic skyline and attractions.

Gardens by the Bay

Start the morning at Gardens by the Bay. Walk through the Supertree Grove, visit the Cloud Forest, and explore the Flower Dome. In the evening, return for the free Garden Rhapsody light show.

Marina Bay Sands

Next, head to Marina Bay Sands. The observation deck gives you panoramic views of the city, Marina Bay, and the surrounding skyline. It is one of the best places to take photos, especially near sunset.

ArtScience Museum

If you enjoy interactive exhibits and digital art, spend a few hours at the ArtScience Museum. The museum regularly hosts exhibitions that combine technology, science, and creativity.

Evening at Marina Bay

1

Finish your first day with a walk along the waterfront. Stop by Merlion Park, enjoy the city lights, and watch the evening light show near Marina Bay Sands.

Day 2: Explore Singapore’s Cultural Districts

Your second day is perfect for discovering Singapore’s multicultural side.

Chinatown

Begin in Chinatown, where you can explore narrow streets, local shops, and traditional shophouses. Visit the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and try local dishes at one of the nearby hawker centres.

Little India

From Chinatown, continue to Little India. This area is full of colourful streets, temples, markets, and Indian restaurants. Do not miss the vibrant House of Tan Teng Niah and the busy Little India Arcade.

Kampong Glam and Haji Lane

Later in the afternoon, head to Kampong Glam. Explore Haji Lane for boutique shops, murals, and cafés. You can also visit Sultan Mosque, one of Singapore’s most famous landmarks.

Evening Food Tour

End the day by trying Singapore’s street food. Hawker centres such as Maxwell Food Centre or Lau Pa Sat are excellent places to sample local favourites like satay, laksa, chicken rice, and chilli crab.

Day 3: A Full Day on Sentosa Island

Dedicate your third day to Sentosa Island, Singapore’s entertainment hub.

How to Get There

Take the cable car from Mount Faber for incredible views of the harbour and the island. You can also use the Sentosa Express monorail if you prefer a quicker option.

Universal Studios Singapore

Spend most of the day at Universal Studios Singapore. The park features different themed zones, thrilling rides, family attractions, and live entertainment.

S.E.A. Aquarium

2

After Universal Studios, visit the S.E.A. Aquarium. It is home to thousands of marine species and is a relaxing way to spend the late afternoon.

Optional Activities

If you still have time, you can also enjoy Sentosa’s beaches, try the Skyline Luge, visit Madame Tussauds, or watch the Wings of Time night show.

Day 4: Gardens, Shopping, and Relaxed Sightseeing

Use your final day to slow down and explore a different side of Singapore.

Singapore Botanic Gardens

Start the morning at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The National Orchid Garden is especially worth visiting and has one of the largest orchid collections in the world.

Orchard Road

After the gardens, head to Orchard Road for shopping. This famous avenue is lined with malls, restaurants, and cafés. Whether you are looking for luxury brands or local shops, there is something for everyone.

Clarke Quay

Spend your evening at Clarke Quay, a lively riverside area filled with restaurants and nightlife. Even if you are not interested in clubs or bars, it is a great place for dinner and a final walk beside the river.

Where to Stay in Singapore

  • Marina Bay: Best for luxury hotels and famous skyline views.
  • Bugis: Ideal for first-time visitors with easy access to shopping and public transport. li>
  • Chinatown: A great choice if you want affordable hotels and local food nearby.
  • Orchard Road: Perfect for shopping and upscale accommodation.

Final Thoughts

Four days in Singapore is enough time to experience the city’s modern attractions, rich culture, and world-famous food. This itinerary balances sightseeing, local neighbourhoods, shopping, and fun, making it ideal for first-time visitors in 2026.
